Introduction

Christmas is the main festival of Christians all around the world. Every year Christmas and holidays are eagerly waited for.

People celebrate Christmas in may places around the world. Some people celebrate Christmas as a religious holiday. In some place, Christmas is a time of celebration for Christians and Non-Christians alike.

Why do we celebrate Christmas?

Christians celebrate Christmas as it is considered the day when Jesus Christ(son of God) was born.

During the time of Christmas families get together to celebrate. People of all ages feel happiness and joy. It teaches us to forgive and celebrate together happily.

How do we celebrate Christmas?

On Christmas day churches set up a crib. Carols by Candlelight is also a popular tradition in many churches.

The whole city is decorated. Shopping hours are increased so that everyone can buy things they want. Parades and concerts are held in many towns.

Churches and charities provide food and gifts to the needy and lonely. Sometimes they organise Christmas party too.

Families get together and presents are given to each other at morning. Whole day is celebrated with a traditional dinner at night.

Conclusion

Christmas is a festival which is very enjoyable and should be very much watched where it is celebrated traditionally.

It also teaches us good values. It teaches us the bonds love, tolerance and compassion among all the people in the world.
